Tie-Back Anchors

This project was a design/build solution of an Ultrablock Tieback retaining wall along Consumnes Mine Road in El Dorado County. Challenges for the project were drilling from above the wall using down-the-hole hammer techniques.

Micropiles

This project required the installation of micropiles at the Red Hawk Casino near Placerville. Micropiles were used to increase foundation capacity for an addition to the structure.

Rockwall Netting

This project required the installation of 3,000 square feet of Geobrugg with approximately 75 soil nails for the City of Sausalito in a difficult access site condition. We used our portable aluminum mast drill to perform the drilling through the weathered rock face.

Advanced Geotechniques, Inc. is a specialty drilling contractor servicing California. We are licensed and insured for workers compensation, general liability, and automotive.

We can provide design/build services in addition to completing pre-designed projects. Our specialty relates to our vast array of equipment for both larger micropile projects, to various sized tieback projects, to man portable and specialty equipment. When the right equipment is unavailable, we are capable of fabricating equipment in our shop in Rocklin.

Mr. Greg Gularte, the president, is a geotechnical engineer and has been in the construction business for over 20 years.

Mr. Mark Shinn is lead project manager and has worked with Mr. Greg Gulate for approximately 20 years. Mark’s specialty is understanding client relationships and choosing the best equipment for the project.
